Understanding Conflict
Developing Confidence in Challenging Conversations
Sunday 6th December 2026 | 1:00-3:00pm | Online
Conflict is a natural part of human relationships, yet many of us find it uncomfortable, whether we are experiencing it ourselves or supporting clients who are struggling with it. Our own beliefs, experiences and preferred ways of responding to conflict can influence both our personal and professional relationships.
What We Will Explore
Drawing on the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, we will consider how increasing self-awareness can help us respond to conflict more effectively and with greater confidence.
- What conflict is and how it may be experienced by individuals, couples, families and teams.
- Our own attitudes and responses to conflict.
- The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument as a framework for understanding conflict styles.
- The role of assertiveness in healthy and constructive relationships.
- How greater awareness of conflict patterns can support personal growth and professional practice.
This reflective introduction offers discussion, shared learning and personal reflection in a supportive online environment.
Investment: £25 per person. A CPD Certificate of Attendance will be provided.
