CPD Terms and Conditions
When I started my private practice I wanted to include all aspects of Counselling Development in my offerings, including access to personal therapy, supervision, coaching and a range of CPD events.
I want my services to be flexible and accessible to as many as possible, which is reflected in the prices charged for workshops, the resources shared and the opportunity to network with other individuals, to promote further professional development. In the wake of the Pandemic, a decision was made to move as many of the CPD events I deliver online, via the platform of Zoom. As some of the restrictions relaxed, I returned to offering some face-to-face CPD events, in both the East and West Midlands areas, subject to suitable premises.
Many of my CPD events include working with other professionals to bring specialist knowledge and experience to the learning. As a result of this philosophy, I need minimum numbers to make our workshops viable. All half-day courses need a minimum of 8 participants, whilst my full day and longer courses require a minimum of 10-15 participants.
PAYMENT
All bookings are made through BACS payments; in the event that a refund is requested and is in line with my cancellation & refund policy your payment will be returned to you by BACS arrangements. Your personal information, including your payment details, are protected and will remain confidential. I will not share your details with any third party. Following your booking, you will receive a confirmation of your purchase.
YOUR CONTACT DETAILS
Course booking confirmation and other pre-course information is sent via email. Please ensure I have your current email address for this purpose.
CPD CERTIFICATES
CPD certificates are provided at the end of each course to all participants who have completed the training. Please note that I charge £5 plus postage to re-issue lost or uncollected certificates.
MY CANCELLATION POLICY
Courses that are cancelled by you more than 21 days in advance are refundable less an administration fee of £15. Courses cancelled less than 21 days in advance are not refundable in any circumstances. If you cannot attend a course you may transfer your place to another person if you provide me with the name of that person at least 48 hours before a scheduled training event. No changes may be made to course bookings less than 48 hours before a training event.
WHEN YOU CAN’T ATTEND A BOOKED COURSE
I will not provide course materials (including handouts, PowerPoint presentations and reading lists) to those who have booked but have not physically attended a course.
COURSE CANCELLATIONS
Circumstances sometimes mean that I need to cancel a training event. Should I need to cancel a course, your course fee will be refunded in full, or you will have the option of applying it to another CPD workshop offered by myself. Please note that I am not liable for any accommodation, travel or other expenses incurred by you in regard to a cancelled course.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Anne Gibbard hopes your learning experience will be an enjoyable one however, if you are unsatisfied with any aspect of your learning you are entitled to complain. If you would like to make a complaint please follow the process detailed below:
1.     If possible you should try to resolve your complaint informally by discussing it with the person concerned or with Anne directly. Anne is always happy to put time aside to discuss any difficulties or challenges you are experiencing and will do her best to resolve things with you, and for you.
2.     If you are not satisfied with the outcome from stage 1, or if stage 1 is not appropriate for your circumstances, you should put your complaint in writing. Upon receipt, your complaint will be forwarded to an independent counselling professional who will investigate and a written response will be sent to yourself and the centre within 28 working days. The independent professional will detail the outcome and identify any specific recommendations for Anne to consider.
YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY & SECURITY
When attending courses in person, please take care of your personal belongings and your personal safety while at my training events. I am not responsible for items that are lost or stolen during our courses and workshops. I am not responsible for any accident or personal injury that occurs during my training events.

Please ensure you have read and understood our CPD Terms and Conditions before booking a CPD course.
To book a place on any of my CPD workshops, an application form must be submitted along with full payment before your place is confirmed. Your BACS payment must include your name to be able to confirm your details.
